Richard Salpietra, Esq. CCAL

Richard Salpietra graduated with Honors from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and a Bachelor of Science Degree. He received his juris doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California.

Richard Salpietra is not only an attorney, but a licensed architect and general contractor in California, credentials that make him a unique and effective lawyer. His extensive background and experience in the construction industry gives him an exceptional breadth of knowledge rarely found in an individual lawyer. He is particularly qualified in issues pertaining to development and architecture/construction, real estate, easement/boundary and other related matters.

Mr. Salpietra has almost thirty years experience advising architects, contractors, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects, other construction professionals as well as small businesses and corporations in business, insurance, and legal matters.

Richard Salpietra is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association, including the Construction Law and Real Property Law Sections.

Additionally, Richard Salpietra is a Fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL) of the Community Associations Institute (CAI). CCAL is a prestigious group of CAI attorney members who have distinguished themselves through contributions to community association law, and who have committed themselves to high standards of professional and ethical conduct.

As an active member of the CAI San Diego Chapter, Mr. Salpietra was on the Board of Directors for twelve years and volunteered as an officer for six years. He served two terms as the president of the San Diego Chapter. Mr. Salpietra served on various committees, published many articles and has been a speaker at multiple Chapter events. He also served on the National Board of Trustees of the International Community Associations Institute.
